Job Description

This position reports to an Information Systems Supervisor within Information Systems. The Systems Analyst Programmer performs the majority of his/her assigned tasks in a project team environment with direct supervision from the project supervisor or senior member of the project team. Most job activities are performed in the realm of small systems, subsystems, or programs, and their general relationship to the project or system. The incumbent works closely with members of the Information Systems team, systems and user business analysts, data warehouse staff, other enterprise wide technical staff, as well as the internal and external users to ensure user/customer requests, problems, and questions are researched and resolved in a timely manner. An individual in this position is able to formulate logical statements of business problems and devise effective solutions to these problems through the use of proposed manual procedures, an existing automated system or a proposed automated system. Hiring a BI/Web Analytics Developer for our direct client in Manhattan, NY. This is a 6 month contract position with the possibility of extension.

MUST have (either past or present) healthcare experience and at least 4-5 years U.S. experience with the following:

  • BI Data Analyst / Data Modeling / Data Warehouse / Teredata
  • Create Physical and Logical models in assisting the data warehouse team
  • Set standards and best practices
  • Assist in implementing BI Apps
  • Support the build out of the Data Warehouse as well as Data Marts
  • Create dashboards on an on-demand basis

Required

MUST have (either past or present) experience in Healthcare apps

  • Minimum of 3 years with Oracle and SQL
  • Expert level in Data Modeling tools and practices
  • 4 years experience with BI / Data Visualization tools (Qlikview or Tableau)

Role overview

Responsible for building out and improving the reliability and performance of cloud applications and cloud infrastructure deployed on Amazon Web Services, building the next generation of web applications and systems infrastructure, focusing on automation, availability and performance. A thorough understanding of System administration is a must, and specific experience with Linux required. Candidate should have experience in a DevOps culture, working with multi-disciplinary teams (developers, architects, operations, testers) to fully automate and build out new application environments on the Cloud, spearheading automation and high performing system projects. Candidate will also be responsible for providing advanced engineering support to production support teams for complex application performance and incidental issues.
